2009 Sidekick LX Features vs Apple iPhone

By: Peter Chubb | April 21, 2009 | 2 Comments

No matter what phone is launched, it always finds itself compared to the Apple iPhone, and the 2009 T-Mobile Sidekick LX is no exception. Both phones have a range of great features that help to make them the phones that they are.

Take the 2009 Sidekick LX for example; this new model now features 3G-Enabled Social Networking Apps. This new feature allows you to network and interact with friends on the go thanks to a suite of social networking applications; these include MySpace, Facebook, Twitter and Photobucket.

GPS: Live Search and Geotagging is a great tool for searching for local businesses, you can even map them using Live Search. The new 2009 T-Mobile Sidekick LX has the largest and sharpest screen from any other Sidekick thanks to its 3.2″ 65K TFT color display, high-resolution 854 x 480 pixel screen. The talktime of the handset is 5.5 hours with a standby time of 8 days.

The Apple 3G iPhone is a phone, iPod small netbook and much more. This smartphone also uses 3G wireless technology and GPS mapping. The handset certainly has some great features, which makes the iPhone 3G the smartphone to beat.

The iPhone 3G has a 3.5-inch widescreen Multi-Touch display with a screen resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. There is a choice of 8GB or 16GB flash drive; there is talk that the new model will come with 32GB of storage.

The camera is where it all goes wrong for the iPhone, the 2.0 megapixels camera has no flash and cannot do video recording, and this is also another area where the next iPhone will improve on itself.

The 2009 Sidekick LX and Apple iPhone are two very different phones, what choice will you make?

And it isn’t fair..comparing all smartphones to the iPhone, because not all phones WANT to be the iPhone or were designed to be the iPhone.
