It has been reported that the freshly released Blu-ray for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete has sold over 100,000 copies on it’s first day in sale over in Japan.
Of course, this very impressive stat will be mainly down to the fact that it includes the exclusive Final Fantasy XIII demo on the Playstation 3.
As reported by Kotaku, the success has meant FF7:ACC overtakes Macross F already as Macross F was the top selling Anime on Blu-Ray for 2008.
So just mention the words ‘Final Fantasy demo’ and you have an instant seller. Let us know your thoughts on this.

I can’t wait for this edition - Not for the demo, but for the 20 mins of extra footage included. This film is awesome and deserves to be watched on Blu-Ray as large as possible…
I can’t wait for this movie to come in! When I fist heard about it and saw it came with a demo for final fantasy XIII, I had to get it. But after I found out there is an extra 20 minutes of movie in this version and after I had seen the new trailer, I had to see the movie. Man, the trailer is beautiful on a high def screen. Only makes me wonder how the whole movie will look. In my opinion, it’s not just the extra demo which is included that sold the disc. It’s everything that wasn’t in the original release. Also, if you’ve never played any of the games related, including the cellphone games which were exclusive to japan, you get to see what you missed.
Man I can’t wait!!
