Amazon Kindle 2: 300,000 units sold already
By: Alan Ng | April 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentThe Amazon Kindle 2 has been a success ever since it’s release at the end of February. It has been reported that 300,000 units have been sold so far, a figure which has already taken huge steps to overtake sales of the original kindle.
As reported from Afterdawn, the device currently sells for $359 USD and they report that due to this initial success, Amazon has made over $100 million in revenue on the Kindle 2 in just over two months.
As the original Amazon Kindle only managed to shift 400,000-500,000 units during its entire period, the 300,000 figure for the Kindle 2 is a very encouraging start for the device.
