Since RIM launched the BlackBerry Storm with Verizon it has had a number of issues, this had to be expected, as it was the first touchscreen device from Research In Motion. Users have been waiting for some time now for v113 firmware update, and thankfully, it will be released over the coming weeks.
Yahoo Tech tells us that update 4.7.0.113 is an over-the-air software update from Verizon Wireless, and will fix a number of bugs that has hampered the BlackBerry Storm. The update will also improve the keyboard, stop the smartphone from freezing when voice dialing and much more.
Apart from fixing these bugs, the new update will offer up some cool new features, such as portrait mode for the full QWERTY keyboard. This is the first major update for the BlackBerry Storm, there have been a number of unofficial updates along the way, but that was downloaded at the user’s risk.
