A new iPhone OS 3.0 beta 3 firmware update and SDK has now been made available for devs, this means that we are another step closer to a full Apple iPhone OS 3.0 launch. The date that consumer will get to see the update is sometime in the summer, and in that time developers will see a number of updates.
Those developers will now be able to tinker with the latest iPhone OS 3.0 beta 3, not that there is that much to talk about with the update. Developers will however be happy that the new software offers increased performance and bug fixes.
iPod Touch Fans tell us that the iPhone OS 3.0 beta 3 now adds App purchases and location-data, this is the best part of the update.
Other changes are as follows:
- iPod icon is aligned.
- MMS works with modified carrier bundle on German T-Mobile network.
- Option for iPods that let you change what your double tap home button is.
- Restrictions now add In-App Purchases and Location.
- Speed improvements.
- Spotlight now saves the last search.
- You can change spotlight to search for what you want to search for ex everything but applications.
