Microsoft’s Windows 7 launch problem: Vista puts users off

There has been so much hype regarding Microsoft’s latest Operating System offering, Windows 7, but the software is already facing its problems. I have spoken to a number of my colleagues and it seems that they have been put off with Windows because of the troubled Vista OS. One has even jumped ship altogether and gone over to Apple.

Before Windows Vista was launched, Microsoft was saying that it was the best OS ever, but that turned out to be false and people tried their best to go back to XP. We understand that XP was getting on a bit, but it was certainly stable, which is what users want.

The recent Windows 7 beta was hounded by a number of bugs and the operating system seemed jerky at times, so not a great start. Let us hope that Microsoft will be able to get its act together and learn from its Vista mistakes. Another reason why users do not wish to upgrade to Windows 7 is the confusion with the release date. We hope that Microsoft give us an official launch date soon.

I don’t know those people who said they are sick of windows. But what I do know is that PCs, unlike Apple computers, are made of many combination of different parts and brands.

Any of those parts from any of the brands could potentially be the cause of the system errors either because it is faulty or just not made according to spec.

It is not fair when you are making a comparison with Apple which is made according to a very specific guidelines by one company only.

Then again that’s why Apple only have around 5% market share.
