Exchange 2007 was a good upgrade from Exchange 2003 server, and was nice to see that Microsoft listened to the complaints, which made for better software. It looks as though Microsoft is to give its users what they want again if Exchange 2010 Beta is anything to go by.
PC Mag has been taking a closer look at the new software, and has decided to give it a hands on review. The testing code on a Windows 2008 Server box is a good update as it simplifies many of the tasks that administrators face. Although you will notice that, the architecture of Exchange 2010 is the same as 2007 in many ways.
Do not let that put you off though, as Microsoft Exchange 2010 is an enormous piece of software, and will certainly be worth the upgrade judging by these early and promising signs. The roles of Exchange 2010 are still the same as the 2007 version; as usual, these roles are installed on separate servers.
