Konami confirms SAW video game for Autumn 09 release

Konami has announced that ‘SAW’ the video game, is currently in development for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms. As most of you are aware, the game will be based on the popular horror movies and will require players to solve all sorts of puzzles and bloody quests set to you by Jigsaw, the ‘scary old man’ from the films.

As reported from Videogamer, the game is scheduled for a release this Autumn and will be developed by Zombie Studios. David Daniels, who is the Director of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc had this to say on the announcement: “As the leader in the survival horror genre, it only made sense to align with one of cinema’s most iconic horror franchises to create an entirely new survival horror experience.”

Lets hope the developers can emulate the SAW horror experience into a video game and do a good job of it too. We’ll be picking this one up for sure. Let us know your views on SAW.
