We have reported on a number of rumors regarding an Apple netbook, and although Apple have not made an official announcement, that has not stopped us speculating what the new device will look like. If we have learned anything from Apple, we know that it will not be or look like any other netbook on the market.
PC World has been looking more closely at the whole Apple netbook subject and wondered what it would look like. We know that a netbook is a smaller version of a notebook and comes with a limited amounted of features and performance. The ideal target price is under $500, and is targeted for those on the move.
The other requirements for a netbook is to have a screen size of 10-inches or less, as well as a keyboard that is smaller than normal but still large enough to use easily.
So what could we expect to see from Apple, well firstly it will be super thin and also lightweight, they will also offer a choice of a standard hard disk drive or an SSD (Solid State Drive). We also know that the new Apple netbook will come with an OLED monitor. This would really be a miniature version of Appleās MacBook Air, but this would probably have a price tag of $1000, and that would be too expensive.
