New Palm Pre release date gets specific

Yesterday we reported that Sprint had issued a vacation ban in May for all retail employees. This seemed to point towards Sprint expecting to be busy in May, and would make it easy to believe that the Palm Pre will be released in this month.

Today we have heard a little more on this story. There is a rumor that this news was released from internal Sprint memos circulating within their Retail Stores.

The site “Phone News” claim that there could be a preliminary May 17th launch, and they said that Sprint might receive Palm Pre units around late April to early May.

They also claim that there could be a second window, this all depends on how much stock is received for the launch. The second release date could be June 29th if stock levels are too low. Read more about this on phonenews.com.
