Most of the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 comparisons we see are normally about the hardware or graphics in games. While the Xbox 360 hardware has really had some big knocks and also cost Bill Gates a lot of money in repairs, the range of games have been good.
The PS3 on the other hand may not have had that many hardware failures reported, but it has had a few problems with its firmware in the past. This is why we were both surprised and interested to see PSX Extreme asking the question “Does The PS3 Have More Stable Software Than The 360?”
Game stability of the Xbox 360 and PS3 has not been compared as much as the other issues. The author explains in detail, and sums-up by saying that they have had far less problems with PS3 games than with 360 games.
Can this be the same for Product Reviews readers? How do you find game stability on your games system?

I have had a PS3 since Christmas and it’s awesome I play most most days, not had any problems with it (think it has froze once). My brother has had a 360 for two years now, and again has had no problems with it. Both machines have their pro’s and con’s. As far as reliability goes the 360 has suffered from the RROD but that seems to have settled a bit now. I’m happy with my PS3, I don’t hate X-box’s, I just prefered a PS3 when it came to buying a new console.
I look @ it like this, it all depends on what you like. If u like FPS, then get a 360; if not, get a PS3. For me, I hate FPS, so I got a PS3( can’t wait 4 GoW 3); but the 360 is better online. 4 the $$$ though, the PS3 is a better buy, even though its more exspensive.
i have both the ps3 and the xbox 360 and as far as reliability goes i am on my 3rd ps3 and my second xbox 360, this goes against the norm but it shows the ps3 can also have problems! depends on your budjet which one to buy, if you can’t afford £300 and you don’t have 1080p tv and don’t want to watch blu-rays then get the xbox, otherwise get the ps3
I’m calling bullsh*t. You’re telling me you have had to replace your PS3 every 10 months? You either have it where it gets no ventilation, or you just game 24 hours a day. I’m still on my launch system, with no problems whatsoever. Take your microsoft fanboyism somewhere else man, I’m not buying it.
No i only had to replace it once, but the replacement one sony sent me was faulty so they had to send me another, so 1+1+1 = 3! just because your still on your launch system doesn’t mean that no one elses can fail, if you look at my first post you will see that i say “this goes against the norm” which means i know that the PS3 is more reliable than the xbox 360, i also think the ps3 is a better system, “BUT” it depends on what you want it for/ how much money you have to spend, the xbox is better value for money if you don’t have a 1080p TV and don’t want to watch blu-rays. I am neither a xbox or ps3 fanboy, so you take your sony fanboyism elsewhere and next time read posts properly before going off on anyone who says anything good about an xbox
