If you are looking for an entry-level phone that is easy to use, then the Samsung Impression certainly fits the bill. The hardware like all Samsung handsets is great, but the Software UI does not match the hardware and is still a little slow and bumpy.
Gizmodo have taken a closer look at both the hardware and software to try to shed some more light on the Samsung Impression. The handset has a nice sized 3.3-inch capacitive-touch AMOLED screen; this is both bright and responsive, well most of the time anyway.
The slider part of the phone is a springy action, this then reveals the spacious keyboard, if you like big keyboards then this is one of the largest you will see on a cell phone. The 3-megapixel camera is not up to the job, you would have thought that Samsung would have thrown in a couple more megapixels.
The software on the Samsung Impression is not that great and leaves you feeling a bit disappointed. The Operating System seems to be a bit wonky, you have to sometimes press very hard on the screen for it to do the task that you want it to do. The overall impression of this handset is that it is a little dated.
