We wrote yesterday about the big Killzone 2 announcement that was scheduled for Thursday night. We can now confirm that the new DLC will be a map pack titled ‘Steel & Titanium’ and it will contain two maps.
While some maybe disappointed that there was no mention of co-op or any other features on user’s wish lists, we can tell you that the two maps in question are looking very good indeed. We have included a video below so you can check them out for yourselves.
As posted up by DarkZero, the first map will set in an ISA cruiseship called ‘the New Sun’. Players will not only have to take care of enemies around them, but also above them, as this map will feature various levels meaning players will be able to experience something different.
The second map is looking even better. It takes place on two helghast freight trains and players will need to have their wits about them on this map as the environment will play big part in this one. As the video below shows, you can get knocked down by passing trains if you are not careful.
No pricing or solid date has been confirmed yet, but the map pack is scheduled for an ‘end of April’ release. Check out the video below and let us know what you think.

Still “Death Match” maps, but it nice to see fresh content.
CO OP would be cool, but the campaign is almost too short for COOP. 2.5 Hours.
So don’t ever expect a COOP MODE…..
It’s an 8-12 hour co-op. What are you talking about. Plus co-op will really add replay for use who traverse these levels numerous times looking for the intel and heghan symbols
Yea how the heck do you get 2.5 hours? I dont think you could do it in 2.5 hours even if you did it on easy, ran like hell, and skipped the cut scenes. The game lasted 14 hours for me on hard mode.
Plus the devs said NO CO-OP! So I dont know why you all think its coming. Its supposivly not possible to have co-op sense so much is going on in the background and stuff in the SP it would lag to much with co-op. Which is very understandable.
