We reported a while back that Amazon launched an app for the Apple iPhone, well it has taken some time but now the application has been made available for the BlackBerry. There is a downside to this though; the Amazon app will only work on RIM Blackberry handsets with a trackball, so the BlackBerry Storm is not supported at this time.
The Amazon app for the BlackBerry is like the iPhone version, which also includes Amazon Remembers feature, this cool feature will remember all of the items in a consumer’s life, it will then try to match photos with products from the Amazon online store.
ZDNet decided to download the Amazon app on to a BlackBerry Curve, they said that the download went smoothly and the app ran fine. ZDNet thought that they would just try to download the application on a Blackberry Storm and got the following message, “We’re sorry, your device is currently not supported.”
It would appear that the Amazon app will offer support for the Storm in the future, how long that will be we do not know.

Everytime I read a new story about the Storm, the less I want it.
