Windows Mobile 6.5: Users want upgrade option for current devices
By: Daniel Chubb | April 9, 2009 | 3 CommentsCompanies should always remember to listen to their customers, and this is especially true before launching new products. So it’s interesting to see a Windows Mobile executive answering questions on Facebook.
While the answers he gave were not that interesting or did not give much away, the questions the Windows Mobile users asked did show what the consumer wants in new versions of their software.
PC World reports that there was a pattern towards users wanting an upgrade option for Windows Mobile 6.5. This latest version of the operating system has an expected release of late 2009.
While some of the current generation Smartphone’s will be able to upgrade, not all of them will be able to, and this is complicated further by the process being handled by mobile operators.
Are you happy to spend more money on a new phone for Windows Mobile 6.5, if you cannot upgrade your current device? If not, what would you suggest?
