New York Auto Show 2009: Hyundai Equus better than Genesis

Hyundai has the Genesis and is a very capable sedan, but they have something even better up their sleeve and is has been on show at the New York Auto Show 2009. The car in question is the Equus, and is its luxury flagship.

As yet, there are no plans to sell the Equus in North America, but Autoblog reckons that they are looking to see what kind of reaction the sedan gets. The Equus is easier on the eye than the Genesis, thanks to highly polished wheels, a bright grille and that strange looking hood ornament.

Hyundai have done a nice job with the design features of the bodywork, like those subtle fender bulges over the rear wheels. The inside of the car is even better, great to see that the Equus has what it take to battle with the likes of the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes S-Class and the Lexus LS. All of the gadgets are the latest to be found in all of these top cars, and shows that Hyundai are no longer the cheap man’s car.
