Females dominating PC games – Your thoughts?
By: Alan Ng | April 9, 2009 | Leave a CommentA recent study into female participation in PC gaming has concluded in some surprising results. Media analysis group Nielsen conducted the search on females aged between 24-54.
As reported by Fragland, women in the 24-54 category accounted for 29% of all PC gamers, while the same research on male resulted for just 20%, do you believe that?
The results were made possible by 184,000 survey participants, who agreed to have usage-tracking software installed onto their personal computers.
While we know female gaming is becoming even more popular, we find the 29% statistic very surprising. Let us know your opinions.
