Ecstasy pills are found in pre-owned Grand Theft Auto IV box
By: Alan Ng | April 9, 2009 | 3 CommentsA shocking bit of news for you now, as a consumer in the UK has reported finding ecstasy tablets inside a pre-owned copy of Rockstar‘s Grand Theft Auto IV game.
As reported by GI.Biz, Richard Thornhill bought the pre-owned game from a GameStation retail store in Gloucestershire, UK and was shocked to find the tablets wrapped inside cling film in the box. He handed them over to the police station, while GameStation has offered an apology.
Richard Thornhill was speaking to The Telegraph newspaper and stated: “When I opened the box up, the cling film wrap fell out. I could not believe it. I have two children and my son plays Xbox all the time. He could easily have opened the box and found them. I dread to think what the consequences would have been if he had. He is only 12. He could have died.”
GameStation have now said they plan to launch an investigation into how the incident happened. We wonder what he was doing buying GTAIV for a 12 year old anyway, unless that’s his idea of sex education for the young chap.
