Eidos Marketing Boss Jon Brooke has been talking about their upcoming Batman game, Arkham Asylum. From our point of view, the game is looking very nice indeed. Brooke however, thinks the game is ‘close to perfection.’
Judging by previous Batman games, we are hoping he is right about his comments said. In an interview with MCV he explained: “We expect Batman Arkham Asylum to not only be the biggest game of the summer but one of the stand-out games of the year.
“It’s as close to perfect as we’ve ever come, it looks amazing, plays beautifully and has a rich twisting storyline with enormous replayability. I’m confident enough to say that it will set a new benchmark for licensed games and it’s going to establish itself as one of our best games ever.”
It’s nice to see Eidos acting with a bit of confidence considering all the recent Square-Enix buyout news, but Batman for ‘Best game of the Summer?’ We like to know your thoughts on that statement.

Could be the best Batman game since ‘Batman: The Movie’ on the Amiga. Let’s hope it’s true and if it is, let them loose on a Superman game.
