WipEout HD: PS3 Patch 1.30 goes live today

Sony has revealed that a patch for PS3 racer WipEout HD will be going live today at around 5pm GMT. Patch 1.30 will feature a collection of multiplayer features most notably a new online ranking system.

There will be over 50 ranks to progress through with ranking points determined by your finishing position, speed class and rank of your opponents.

There is also a new podium screen and 33 brand new badges for you to use. Looks like a great update if you’re a fan of WipEout HD. Check the official PS Blog here for much more details.
