You would have thought that both Palm and Sprint would have been out in full force at CTIA Wireless 2009, considering that the launch of the Pre smartphone is imminent. Both were still on hand though to show off some of the application that will be made available on the release of the new WebOS, which will feature on the new Palm Pre.
IntoMobile had already spoken about a number of other applications last week, such as the one for NASCAR and Sprint TV. However, more applications have now been lined up to coincide with the launch of the Pre.
A few of these new apps include Fandango, FlightView, Pandora and PalmOS Classic emulator. If you view the video below, you will see how well the apps integrate into the new WebOS. This is helped by how well WebOS can multi-task applications in the background.

The UI and look-and-feel of these applications is almost as good as that of the iPhones. The ease of development is going to be a key factor in engaging a wide base of developers.
