iPhone 32GB: 3rd-Generation needs the bigger storage
By: Daniel Chubb | April 8, 2009 | 6 CommentsThe news about an Apple iPhone with 32GB of NAND flash memory has been around a while, and while we expected a January 09 announcement for 32GB, nothing came.
It now looks very likely that the 32GB iPhone 3G will start production this month with an official announcement in June at the WWDC 2009. An endless stream of news/rumors that point to a new 3rd generation Apple iPhone support this prediction.
Expectations include two new iPhone’s, one that has double the flash memory (32GB) and another low-end 3G version that has no Wi-Fi. Some users ask why a 32GB version is really needed, claiming that 16GB is more than enough.
We have to say that a 64GB iPhone would even be welcomed and those that love to make calls and store video on the same device would want as much storage as possible. Keeping the weight and size down and the battery life up.
