Chrysler 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Review and specs

Both General Motors and Chrysler are in serious trouble, and they have come under increased pressure from the government to make their vehicles more fuel-efficient. Chrysler has revealed the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, although this is bigger than the old version, it is much better on fuel economy.
Motor Trend has been taking a closer look at the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and have wrote a small review of Chrysler’s latest offering. The SUV is two inches longer than the previous version, but is 11 percent better on fuel than the older model. You can expect up to 23 miles per gallon on the highway and 16 miles per gallon in the city.
The 2011 Grand Cherokee is the first vehicle from Chrysler to use the new Phoenix V-6 engine; this 3.6-liter version pushes out 280-horsepower. The new SUV comes with premium soft-touch interior materials, this will be on all classes, and top-of-the-range Overland trim models get a leather instrument panel.

- Blind-spot/rear cross-path access, adaptive cruise control
- Dual-pane panoramic sunroof covers the top from the windshield header to the rear
- Forward collision warning system
- Four-way power lumbar controls

- Heated/ventilated front seats, heated rear seats
- Hill-start assist, trailer-sway control and hill-descent control
- Passive entry/keyless go
- Power rear liftgate with remote up/down
- Power tilt/telescoping steering column with memory
- Rain-sensitive wipers
- Real wood interior trim
- Remote start
- Standard electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation
- U-Connect internet connectivity
