There had been a number of rumors about the new Acer Aspire One 11.6-inch netbook, thankfully the wait is over, as Acer have finally made the netbook official. Taking a closer look at the Aspire One, it is certainly a lovable machine, and the specs are not that bad either.
Engadget report that the small device measures just an inch think and comes with an LED backlit screen and WXGA resolution. All the usual suspects are inside the Acer Aspire One, such as an Intel Atom processor, 160GB hard drive as well as 802.11 b/g WiFi.
Other features include 3G, Bluetooth, Dolby Pro Logic Sound as well as a multi-card reader. The netbook comes with a 6-cell 5200mAh battery, good enough for 8-hours use. As Acer is the third largest computer maker in the world, build quality is first class. There is no price yet or a launch date.
