Spotify streaming service could be heading to PS3, Xbox 360
By: Alan Ng | April 7, 2009 | 6 CommentsWe have heard reports that that popular streaming service Spotify could be on its way to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles as well as other platforms in the near future.
As reported from Videogamer, a Guardian article reveals that the Spotify team are planning to release an API which will enable third-party access to everything they need to embed the Spotify service in devices such as mobile phones, game consoles and set-top boxes.
This sounds like a great idea in our opinion. I have the Spotify service running myself and I can tell you that it is very impressive. To see this running on either the 360 or PS3 would be something special indeed and no doubt a feature gamers will grow to love.
