Nintendo DSi: Fourth fastest-selling console in UK history

We earlier reported on Nintendo’s DSi sales success in the UK, well now it has been reported that this has led the Nintendo DSi to become the forth fastest-selling console in UK to date. Impressed?

As reported from MVC, this bonus milestone was confirmed by GfK-ChartTrack data. The DSi even managed to better what the original DS achieved during its launch.

This past weekend, the Nintendo DSi managed to outsell all the other consoles combined, we’re talking about the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and PSP.

GfK-ChartTrack’s Chris Poole stated: “It’s a very impressive opening couple of days considering the lack of launch software. It’s the fourth fastest-selling console in UK history in terms of opening weekend – one ahead of the original DS in fifth and way ahead of DS Lite.”
