Although it seems a little premature talking about Firefox 3.6 even before 3.5 has been released, we just thought you should know that Mozilla are already working on version 3.6 which they have codenamed Namoroka, and should be ready some time in 2010.
Ars Technica reports that Firefox 3.5 is well under way; there is already a third beta release, which landed last month. The browser has a number of new features these include TraceMonkey JavaScript engine and HTML 5 video element. The fourth version of the beta release is due out later this month, with the final release expected sometime in June.
The performance of the web browser will continue to be a major priority for Firefox 3.6 (aka Namoroka), Mozilla will be working hard on speeding up startup time and responsiveness. Developers are also working to automatically tailor more aspects of the user interface; this will look at the user’s browser history along with their other activity.
