If you didnt know already, the classic Worms has made it’s way onto the US Playstation Store. Compared to the Xbox 360 version, it features better visuals, more landscapes, additional weapons and much more.

As posted up by TheKoalition, the game is only available for the US store at the moment, priced at $12.99. A European version is set to hit the PS store this week for £7.99 or 9.99 Euros.

PS3 owners will be pleased to know that the game will support 1080p mode and 4-player offline or online multiplayer mode. The additional weapons featured in the PS3 version include the Holy Hand Grenade, Super Sheep and Concrete Donkey.

no Holy Hand Grenade, Super Sheep or Concrete Donkey! the xbox folks are getting screwed, there’re the best weapons beside maybe armageddon though I’ll be defeniatly picking this up for my ps3

it’s not bad. Not as good as the original PC version (the PC version has many more game modes, and the weapons act differently). I was expecting more for $13, but anything is better than nothing.

The PSN folks are screwing people over by giving us only this lesser version of worms. I tried the x-box version at a friends house, loving it and thinking the PS3 version would be the same.
To my surprise, I found out that the ported PS3 version was an older version of worms, lacking burn physics, napalm strike and guard post guns.

why haven’t we seen a game like shadow complex on the superior platform of PS3? because they don’t know what they’re doing.

To quote the AVGN: “What were they thinking?!”
