T-Mobile was the first carrier to offer up a Smartphone running on the Google Android OS, now the carrier is planning a big push to offer an Android-powered home phone and tablet PC by early 2010. The home phone will plug into a docking station; this will come with another device that handles the synchronization of the data. The PC tablet will be like a small laptop but without a keyboard as it has a 7-inch touchscreen.
T-Mobile spokesman, Peter Dobrow has been talking to The New York Times, and although he did not want to disclose the specifics of future products he did say that T-Mobile do have plans for a number of devices based on the Google Android Operating System.
Google Android started to compete with Apple, Microsoft and Nokia in the mobile OS market back in August 2008, but Android has a big hill to climb. These latest devices that T-Mobile has planned will go a long way for Android and help it gain ground on the big boys.
