Palm Pre Emulator from original Palm OS

While at CTIA Wireless 2009 Palm announced that the emulator used on the original Palm OS would be made available for the Pre. This latest piece of news is great for owners of the current Palm, who were worried about making the switch from Palm OS to the new WebOS.

This will mean that any software that worked on the original OS will also work on the new WebOS, as long as you are using the emulator on the Pre. Underwired were on hand at the show and watched a demo of ePocrates, which you will be able to see in the video below.

The video also shows the rep from Palm showing off a number of different aspects of the emulator, looking at how well it all worked, it certainly makes you think that Palm were going to abandon WebOS in favor of the original Palm OS.
