Netflix App Gallery and API
By: Peter Chubb | April 6, 2009 | Leave a CommentNetflix has announced a new service called App Gallery; this will display all the cool applications that developers have built with API. The new App Gallery will appear on the main Netflix website; this seems a perfect way for subscribers to get to know about new apps.
There will be two phases to the launch of the new App Gallery; this first is Netflix accepting application submissions. Once there is a nice amount of applications, Netflix will then go ahead and open up the gallery on its main website.
Netflix has said that they will give each application a quick audit, as they do not want to reject an application due to a compliance issue. One of the most common compliance issues have to do with branding violations or improper OAuth implementation.
