Virgin Mobile USA has managed to iron out a deal with Opera Software, and will now implement Opera Mini, the popular mobile browser as a free download and will be available from the VirginXL download storefront. Virgin has also said that they will start to pre-install Opera Mini on future handsets.
IntoMobile tell us that the new service will start on April 14 and will be made available on eight Virgin Mobile USA handsets. The popular Slash from Samsung and the Arc, Shuttle and Super Slice will also be able to use the mobile browser.
Both Virgin and Opera seem happy with this new deal, Virgin users expect to have complete web browsing on their handsets, and this new deal will help to achieve just that.
