Unboxing: Dell Studio XPS 13 Hands-on Review
Filed under: Computers, Laptops

Dell have been producing some nice notebooks just recently, the Studio XPS 13 is a fine example of that. Dell has a range of notebooks, but its XPS range are the cream of the bunch and always comes packed with all the latest goodies.
Engadget have managed to persuade Dell to part with a Studio XPS 13, so they could give their readers a hands on and unboxing review of the device. Engadget said that at first glance the laptop is striking, thanks to the leather wrapped back and high gloss finish.
There are however, a few problems but only minor ones, and as a result make the laptop a little less exciting than they hoped. The leather is a bit rippled on the top, and spoils the design aspect. The super-glare display is distracting, and there is also a wave or ripple on the screen. I remember that my brother had the same problem with his Samsung TV, very strange.
The keyboard has a matte low-profile finish, and is nice to the touch, but the trackpad is so tiny that it is hard to get used too. The model that was sent to Engadget featured the NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GPU, which is more than adequate. For more unboxing photos of the Dell Studio XPS 13.
