We mentioned this morning that Samsung is bringing the Impression and Magnet to CTIA Wireless 2009, well they have something extra to tell us. The Korean phone maker is to add mobile connected applications to future TouchWiz cell phones and its line of smartphones.
CNET tell us that Samsung have said that they are working with Yahoo, Google, and Accuweather.com so that they are able to bring one-touch access to Yahoo oneSearch, Google search, and worldwide weather information from the home screen of your cell phone.
These new apps will come pre-loaded on a select few TouchWiz devices, the app will be made available through the widget tray, like the one found on the Samsung Omnia. If you thought that was good, Samsung are also releasing an SDK next month for professional developers. This will allow them to create and submit rich connected mobile applications that they have developed themselves, and then sell it through Samsung’s Rich Connected Application storefront.
