Kyocera have introduced two new cell phones today as CTIA 2009 opened its doors. The G2Go and Laylo are no April Fools and certainly look great; both are slider phones and have an appeal for different users.
Messaging phones seems to be all the rage at the moment and both these handsets are keeping in line with this theme. The Kyocera G2GO M2000 has a 2.4-inch display, which hides a full alphabetic keyboard behind it. The design has an angular shape to it, and CNET are worried that the combined keypad/keyboard could be cramped for users, but they do add that the handset has a number of great features to compensate for that.
The Kyocera Laylo M1400 is about texting as well, but is more geared towards making calls. There is a 2.2-inch display with a standard numeric keypad hiding behind it. Both if these phones are CDMA. Kyocera are keeping the carriers of the phones secret, as well as pricing and a launch date.
