April Fools day jokes and pranks will flow today

Today is April Fool’s day and for most, it is a day where we get to have fun and play pranks on our friends and family. However sometimes these pranks can often be more serious and cause harm to many, such as the Conficker worm. This will hit Windows XP and Vista users today in a big way and will be no joke to them. Oh, I forgot to mention that for the past two years April Fools’ Day has not been a good time for millions of computer users around the globe, we had the spread of the ANI worm in 2007, this was yet another exploit for Windows users; Storm was the worm of choice last year.

Just remember that when you visit some top Gadget and technology websites read the articles carefully, as many of them could be April Fools pranks. There have been a number of times where I have read an article only to get near the bottom and realize that I have been taken in, what an idiot ah.

There are however, a few stories that sound like pranks but are actually true. One that springs to mind is the one that Microsoft To Open Retail Stores and has employed 25-year Wal-Mart veteran David Porter to oversee the effort.
