Apple iPhone OS 3.0 beta 2 released to developers, push notifications

Earlier today we wrote about the Palm Pre and how it seems to be losing its buzz while Apple’s iPhone 3.0 OS is gaining momentum, and you would understand why if you watched the iPhone 3.0 software event.

Today we hear that iPhone OS 3.0 beta 2 has been released to developers and they can start developing for push notifications, which will bring many needed improvements.

We also hear that beta 2 of the firmware includes some stability and performance enhancements, which developers will welcome. All this iPhone excitement comes right at the start of CTIA 2009 and we know Apps will be big news there.
