PlayStation Home: Major publishers love PS3′s social hub
By: Alan Ng | March 31, 2009 | 1 CommentOnce again, Community Manager for PS3 Home Jack Buser has taken some time out to give his views on how things are shaping up in Sony’s virtual world. In an interview today, he said that the service has become a hot property for advertisers and developers with everyone wanting a piece of the pie.
As reported by PSU, Jack Buser stated: “Every major publisher is interested in Home. Here you can speak directly to the PlayStation audience on the platform that your product is on.”
When explaining how the process of it works he added: ”You have publishers and brands coming into Home looking to engage with an audience, but they also have the opportunity to generate revenue. It’s a model that makes sense for everybody. It’s kind of a perfect storm.
What do you think about Home at the moment? Originally, the beta failed to impress many when it was first released. Occasional spaces were then brought out for the service but it was nothing to get too excited about. Recently, the addition of the XI space has got users excited about Home again and the planned updates for the services look to enforce all that further.
