Nintendo DSI and Stock Issues
By: Alan Ng | March 31, 2009 | Leave a CommentWith the release of the Nintendo DSi just around the corner in Europe and the US, many retailers have assured worried customers that there will be sufficient stock quantities of Nintendo’s new gizmo.
One evidence of a retailer releasing a bold statement about Nintendo DSi stock is ShopTo, one of the UK’s top retailers. When speaking to Eurogamer, ShopTo’s Igor Cipolletta stated: “The pre-orders for the DSi are going very well considering the current economy. We’ve had a good allocation from Nintendo and will be able to have loose units for day-one release.”
With the release coming at the end of this week, it should once again spark off a competitive battle between Sony and Nintendo. Having said that, the Apple iPhone has come out of nowhere and placed themselves into the handheld market, so it should certainly be a interesting year as far as handheld games are concerned, what do you think?
We had a quick peek on the ShopTo website and have found some surprising results. Either Eurogamer are not aware of it or just based their story on Pre-orders, ShopTo currently list the Nintendo DSI as being sold out, in both colours too. What was that you was saying Igor?
