Conficker Working Group: Will it stop the new virus threat?

It’s the perfect time to confuse the world, a new virus threat on April fools day. Although this is no joke and the threat is the Conficker Worm.
In an effort to stop the spread of the worm, more than 100 top-level domain providers from all parts of the world are trying to stop the registration of thousands of domain names that may be used within the next 24 hours by the Conficker virus.
The Conficker Working Group is the force behind the main effort in stopping this virus and they include Microsoft and ICANN. Network World asks the question, Will blocking Conficker domain names work?
