Average Nintendo Wii game has to sell a million units
By: Alan Ng | March 31, 2009 | Leave a CommentWhen speaking to the NYTimes, Nintendo executive Reggie Fils-Aime has explained that the average Nintendo Wii game has to sell one millions units, if they are going to make any profit from it.
As reported by RPGSite, Reggie made the statement in an interview with the NYTimes which you can read in full here. While he made that claim about the Nintendo Wii, he also revealed that the same process and figures for the PS3 and Xbox are ‘much higher’, interesting stuff.
Well as the article at the NYTimes points out and if Reggies’ statement is true, only 16 of 486 Wii games have sold a million copies, so many Nintendo Wii titles must be failing to a make a profit then at the moment.
