Tata Nano Unveiling: Just $2,000

Last week saw the official launch of the Tata Nano, and the event was huge in a number of ways. The new car is a big deal for Tata and will also be good for India as a country, maybe even for the whole world.

Indian Autos Blog was, and managed to get a few good shots of the small car. There is so much to talk about with this small car that it is hard to know where to start.

The Tata Nano is powered by an all-new 2-cylinder aluminum MPFI 624cc petrol engine, and has a four-speed gearbox, there will be three variants. Tata Nano Standard, Tata Nano CX and the Tata Nano LX, and will be available to purchase from April 1.

The Tata Nano has a top speed of top speed of 105kmph, and can achieve 23.6km/liter, and with 101gm / km the Nano has the lowest CO2 emission amongst cars in India. We have to wonder if the Tato Nano will be available in Europe. The Tata Nano will cost just $2000.

There is an option to customize your own Tata Nano, but the cost will then mount up.
