Square-Enix takeover of Eidos complete

The takeover bid from Square-Enix to buy UK publisher Eidos will finally be completed after shareholders from Eidos have voted in favour to accept the bid from Square-Enix.
We have kept you up to date with progress on the proposed takeover and the deal will be completed at the end of April. As reported by GI.Biz, Square-Enix offered a 32 pence per share in February and the court meeting that took place saw 85 percent of Eidos shares being represented and approved.
The successful takeover bid now means that Square-Enix will have control over Eidos’ main franchises such as Tomb Raider, Championship Manager and Hitman. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for these games. Let us know what you think.
