MGS5 on PS3 and Konami’s Xbox 360 Support

An article over at Split-Screen has surfaced and it gives detailed reasons as to why they think the new Metal Gear Solid title will not be coming to the Xbox 360, citing Konami’s previous lack of support for Microsoft’s console as one of the primary reasons.
Whether you are a PS3 or 360 owner, the gaming world looked on with anticipation as Kojima announced another MGS title at this years GDC. According to Split-Screen, they believe the new title won’t be making it’s way to the Xbox 360 at all highlighting the point that the last MGS title for Microsoft was MSG2: Substance, which was multi-platform anyway.
The another reason they say behind Konami’s loyalty with Sony is that Konami are staying put with the Playstation user base they already have and after it was thought that MGS4 would be coming to the 360, this looks like a valid claim.
What are your views on this? Considering what happened with MGS4 and the ‘will it or won’t it debates’, do you think MGS5 (We’ll call it that for now) will be making it’s way to a Microsoft console?

Aside from the fact that as much as MGS4 on PS3 pushed the series, Kojima said he wanted more.
The 360 can’t move the franchise forward, certainly not without standard HDD and Blu-Ray. Even then the other last-gen features of the 360 are also too limiting.
To achieve what Kojima wants from MGS franchise, it has to(and will be) be a PS3 exclusive.
All this talk about lack of mandatory HDD or BLURAY is complete hogwash. there is no technical reason why the MGS series couldn’t run on the 360 (or the Wii for that matter), especially seeing as they can happily port it to the PSP and Iphone. This is purely a game of politics petty stubbornness, and nothing else. They could earn 3 times the amount they make currently if they were to release it for the 360 and Wii. Chuck in the PC, and you have a huge untapped resource.
Ok, first of all the wii would blow the hell up trying to run that game on its crappy system..yes i hate the wii..that being said..i have a 60gb ps3 and 20gb xbox 360, the ps3 gets the crap played out of it on a daily basis for long hours at a time..and my 360 hasn’t been turned on in..well i can’t say, but i like it all the same, and while i think the 360 is technically capable of playing metal gear solid, it would be a crappy experience, since they don’t have mandatory hard drives on all 360’s the game has to be made for all systems, unlike the ps3 which is mandatory, and because that, the load times will be really slow, and instead of being on one convenient blu-ray disk it’ll be on like 3 dvd’s..that’s annoying as hell..in the end, we’ll see who the true winner is when the ps3 is still competing strong with the xbox 720
now way for the 360 kojima always wants to improve how can he improve if its for the 360 it will be worser than mgs4 because the 360 cant even play mgs4 FACT if u want quality buy a ps3
I loved MGS4, I believe it was the best game on the PlayStation 3 in my opinion, whether the 360 can play it or not, i believe Kojima knows the reason why his MGS franchise is so successful is because it is exclusive, i think he sees past the money he could get for it and rests his loyalty to us PS3 owners. I am anxiously anticipating new info on the game and will be hoping to hear nothing but good things about it!!
yes i would run. with plenty of time you can make everything work. BUT where are you going to store all the data. thin air, a plug in hard drive for the 360. you tell me
Kojima doesnt like the 3shitty’s hardware he only likes the ps3 hardware because its true next gen he doesnt want to go backwards he wonts to move forward and deliver the best only on the ps3.
if gears of war was on the ps3 how much better would it be it would have uncompressed audio true hd graphics better detail better lighting and the online will have more players and want lag now thats a big differnce and u think Kojima wants to move to the 360 i dont think so his smarter than that.
I think that kojima will start working with guerrilla games and with the god of war team and the uncharted team!!! With their help they will create the best metal gear solid game ever!!!
Even though it probably could make it for xbox, they would have to make the game in a lower quality and maybe take out some levels, but it should stay PS3 exclusive. The iphone idea i dont mind but MGS has always been praised by PS gamers. I really leaned toward PS gameing sinse MGS was ps3 exclusive and have enjoyed Metal gear alway the way to MGS4. I cant wait for the fifth version but it it comes to xbox , i can see it suiting the console as the MGS2 was crap on xbox 1. It like fable or halo coming to PS3. It just not meant to happen and it wont suit the console. Also they can make it the best game on the PS3. it will stay exclsuive because that wat was it was meant to be.
At the end of the day, none of you ps3 fanboys or normal people lol are developers(assuming)so you really don’t know what is possible
