We have some fresh updates on how progress is going on Square-Enix’ highly anticipated RPG, Final Fantasy XIII. The game is due to be released later this year in Japan, with US and Europe versions to follow in 2010.
The developers behind the game have shared some details with Dengeki Magazine and according to FinalFantasyXIII.net, ‘The entire story and scenario has been fully completed’ and remaining tasks involve things like perfecting the games battle system.
They also mentioned that the graphics for the game are 80% completed and screenshots released so far are only a guideline of visuals from older builds of the game, meaning that we should expect ‘better’ graphics in the final version.
Lastly, they talked about DLC for the game and said that Square-Enix had ‘no plans’ to release any DLC. This means they are placing all their focus and attention on the game and the retail disc should be the whole package.
FF fans will not need to be reminded about the upcoming demo that will be included with the Japanese Blu-ray release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children complete, it also appears US owners will be getting something too. We previously asked the question if you were planning on importing the game since the game will not be out here for some time yet. Let us know what you think.
