
Archos 5 / 7 and v1.6.03 firmware update
By: Peter Chubb | March 30, 2009 | Leave a CommentIf you are an Archos 5 / 7 user, then you will be pleased to learn that v1.6.03 firmware update is now available, and with it comes the much wanted high-def support. The new firmware is available to download for both players.
Engadget reports that some of the other features for v1.6.03 firmware update is support for WMV / VC-1 playback at 720p (24fps; 6Mbps maximum), as well as a number of bug fixes involving GUI malfunctions, TV recording errors and MP3 tags.
Just head over to the Archos support page where you will see a link to Download Archos 5 and Archos 7 OS v 1.6.03, this size of the file is 58463Kb. Once you have downloaded the update and applied it to your Archos 5 / 7 media player, please let us know what you think.
