Tesla Model S Electric Car: 300 miles on one charge

Times are hard for most of us and we have to try to make our money stretch as far as possible, and that also includes how much we spend on running costs for our vehicles. Oil prices are down as low as they have been in years, but that still does not stop us wanting more for our money, and that is where the Tesla Model S Electric Car comes in.

Business Week informs us that this electric vehicle will achieve at least 300 miles on one charge, and do not think for one moment that you are getting a toy. This car comes from a good breed, remember its bigger brother, the Tesla Roadster, which cost $109,000 and could go from zero to 60 MPH in just 3.9 seconds.

The Tesla Model S is a car for daily use and is a four-door sedan, and you have the choice of an optional third set of seats, allowing you to have 7 passengers instead of the normal 5. Once the car runs out of charge, it takes just 45 minutes to fully charge again, much better than Tesla’s first car, which used to take 3 hours to charge.

The Tesla Model S Electric Car will not be available until 2011, and will have a price tag of $49,000 after a $7,500 federal tax credit.
