Apple iPhone to get 3D Shooter ‘IO’ in Q2 2009

Chillingo has announced that it is working together with Atman Software Studios to bring 3D Side-Scrolling action game ‘io’ to the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.

The game has already seen a release on the PC and Mac, but as reported by Videogamer, work is well under way to bring the game to Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch.

Chris Byatte, co-founder and managing director for Chillingo said on the news: “This side scroller on rails shooter is a great pick up and play shooter – great iPhone based touch-screen game play with great story line and stunning 3D visuals to match.”

Interestingly enough, the news of this 3D shooter follows the recent announcement of Wolfenstein 3D only a few days ago. The game is already listed in the coming soon section of Chillingo’s website.
