T-Mobile webConnect 3G modem: new data solution

T-Mobile seemed to drag its heels when it came to offering 3G wireless network in key US cities, but now that they have the carrier is now offering a new 3G data solution. T-Mobile is calling it webConnect 3G modem.
IntoMobile reports that T-Mobile is the last of the big US carriers to go live with the 3G network, and have now launched their first 3G USB modem. The small USB device connects s to your laptop via USB and offers 3G data at up to HSPA speeds.
T-Mobile’s webConnect 3G modem uses its tri-band GSM/EDGE/HSPA (1900/1700/2100Mhz) Wi-Fi or Radio, allowing for a greater chance of finding a compatible wireless network in most places around the globe.
The T-Mobile webConnect 3G modem costs just $49.99 on a two-year contract after a rebate. If you wish to have a non-commit, then the USB device will cost $249.99. For 5GB of data, T-Mobile are charging $59.99 per month.
