Samsung U5 DoReMi pocket audio player

The Samsung U5 DoReMi pocket audio player is the company’s latest edition into the entry-level portable digital music player market and will replace the U4, which was only launched last summer. The new U5 will still feature the USB key form format.

French site Le Journal du Geek has treated us to a number of images, and by the look of things will come with a choice of different colored covers. The Samsung U5 DoReMi has a track and status information displayed on its four-line OLED display.

There are a number of little features that make this little music player even better, such as its built-in FM radio tuner and a choice of either 4GB and 8GB storage capacity. The battery life on the device is rated at 18 hours.

Samsung hope that the U5 will be able to compete with the iPod Shuffle, but that could now be an impossible task as a new iPod Shuffle is already on the market.
